What is Liberty Celebration? Liberty Celebration began more than 25 years ago and is a patriotic musical extravaganza featuring a 150-voice choir, an orchestra, dancers, and voice actors. The non-profit, biennial event promotes patriotism and pays tribute to America’s founders and defenders while embracing our Christian heritage and guiding principles.
Why is this event important to the Tri Cities? Liberty Celebration kicks off our observance of Independence Day and gets the community into a celebratory – and reflective – mindset a few days ahead of the parades, concerts, baseball games, barbecues, and fireworks that are the Fourth of July. Liberty Celebration provides an opportunity to focus on the heritage of our nation, on what makes our country such an exceptional place to live and work, and on the sacrifices made by so many, so long ago, for the freedom we enjoy today.
For 2026, two performances of Liberty Celebration will be held at the 1,650-seat Toy F. Reid Employee Center at 400 South Wilcox Drive in Kingsport:
Friday evening, June 26 at 7:00 pm
Saturday afternoon, June 27 at 2:00 pm
General admission tickets are available at the Eastman Employee Center, The Chamber of Commerce and from choir members. If you wish to purchase a large quantity for a particular performance, please complete the Contact form and we will follow up with you.
