Picture this…the sun is setting over J. Fred Johnson Stadium and shades of pink and orange fill the sky. Inside the stadium, a crowd starts to buzz as stage lights come alive. Energy builds as concert-goers wait for the show to begin. There’s something about a Fun Fest concert that just hits different.
Each year Fun Fest’s Sunset Concert Series welcomes nationally-known artists across multiple genres for three nights of unforgettable fun! This year’s lineup only adds to the excitement. Brothers Osborne, LeAnn Rimes, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Jeremy Camp and Katy Nichole are joining us in July, offering a variety of sounds and styles that promise something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of one or all of these artists or just looking for a memorable night out, the Sunset Concert Series at Fun Fest is where summer truly shines.
If you’ve never been, Fun Fest is more than just a music event, it’s a full summer experience. Fun Fest is a nine-day festival that takes place all around Kingsport. From parades and road races to hot air balloons and fireworks, Fun Fest hosts more than 100 events. The festival is a celebration of community that highlights family-friendly activities and traditions, and for many, the Sunset Concert Series is the centerpiece.
A Lineup Worth Showing Up For
One of the best things about Fun Fest concerts is the variety. Throughout the three-night series, you aren’t locked into one genre. This year is no different. You can experience everything from country storytelling by Brothers Osborne and LeAnn Rimes to rock anthems from Daughtry and Switchfoot to uplifting, faith-based music by Jeremy Camp and Katy Nichole.
Widely regarded as faces of Nashville’s new generation, Brothers Osborne have spent a lifetime performing together. In 2026, they’re celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their breakthrough album, Pawn Shop. With hits like Younger Me, I’m Not for Everyone and Nobody’s Nobody, the duo has received 13 Grammy nominations, are six-time CMA Vocal Duo of the Year winners and four-time ACM Duo of the Year winners.
For nearly 30 years, LeAnn Rimes has helped shape the music industry. She has released 21 albums throughout her career and earned eight Grammy® nominations. Rimes made history as the youngest solo artist ever to receive a Grammy and her groundbreaking hit How Do I Live remains one of Billboard’s all-time greatest songs.

One of the best-selling rock bands of the 21st century, Daughtry (fronted by American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry) continues to sell out shows across the globe. With hits like Home, It’s Not Over and Over You, Daughtry has built a catalog of recognizable songs. Most recently, singles Artificial and Pieces have generated back-to-back No. 1s.

With hits like Meant to Live, Dare You to Move and Only Hope, Switchfoot has sold more than 10 million copies of their 13 studio albums worldwide. They’ve racked up a string of Alternative radio hits and sold more than five million concert tickets worldwide. Switchfoot is releasing a new album, Forever Now in June.
One of the biggest names in Contemporary Christian music, Jeremy Camp has released 12 albums since 2002. He was named Billboard’s #2 Christian artist of the decade and has 45 #1 singles. With songs like Walk by Faith, I Still Believe, There Will Be A Day and No Survivors, Camp writes songs about personal experiences. Outside of music, in 2020 Jeremy had an international theatrical movie release called “I Still Believe” which hit #1 in the box office opening weekend. The film depicted his life story of love and loss of his first wife after a battle with cancer.
Launching her debut album, Jesus Changed My Life, in 2023, Katy Nichole hit the ground running and never looked back. That album featured No. 1 radio hits: In Jesus Name (God of Possible), Hold On and God Is In This Story. Most recently she released the album Honest Conversations, which sparked the Top 5 radio hit When I Fall.

Planning Your Concert Night
A little planning goes a long way! Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your Fun Fest concert experience.
Tickets and Seating
There are two types of tickets for the Fun Fest Sunset Concert Series: general admission and Friends of Festus VIP. Tickets are available to purchase online here. Children five and under do not require a general admission ticket, but anyone in the Friends of Festus area will need one, regardless of age. You can exit and re-enter the concert stadium at any time.
General admission tickets are $25 until June 26 when they increase to $30. On July 17, they will become $35 and stay at that price point through the night of each show. Seating for general admission is first come, first serve on the football/baseball field or in the bleachers.
Friends of Festus VIP tickets give you access to a reserved seat at the front of the stage area. With this ticket, you’ll have access to a private bathroom trailer and a separate entry gate. A parking pass is also included with the purchase of two or more tickets (while supplies last). Friends of Festus VIP tickets are $70 for Thursday (Jeremy Camp & Katy Nichole), $80 for Friday (Daughtry & Switchfoot) and $90 for Saturday (double headliners Brothers Osborne & LeAnn Rimes).
Handicap Seating and parking is available. Inside the concert stadium there are metal bleachers on the Visitors side that have ramp access and spaces for handicap seating. Additionally it is a turf field so you can sit at whatever location throughout the venue that is most comfortable and accessible for you. Handicap Parking is available, first come/first served in the Dobyns Bennett Parking lot.

Insider Tips
Want to level up your experience? Take a look at these recommendations that repeat concert-goers swear by.
- Come early and explore The Taste. Outside the stadium, a major food truck rally takes place. 18 food trucks and tents set up to serve a variety of foods. Make plans to grab food and support a small business before the show. Set up your chair in the park near the trucks and enjoy your meal or take it into the stadium with you to eat while you enjoy the music. (Concessions are also available inside the stadium)
- Dress for the weather. Summer in Northeast Tennessee is no joke, and since the Sunset Concert Series takes place on a turf field, you’ll want to make sure you’re ready for any temp. Just remember, it’s a family-friendly event. Shirts and shoes are required.
- Enjoy the entire show. Come for the openers and stay until the end of the headlining act. The best moments are those you don’t expect, and you never know what you might get from song number one until the final encore.
- Artist Merchandise is available and sold on site from the time gates open until around 15 minutes after the concert ends. It can be found at the back of the stadium in the large baseball dugout.
- There are activities happening around the stadium during/after the concerts. All three nights, you’ll find The Taste operating in the park across the street from the stadium. 18 food vendors will be set up selling food from 4 PM until around 9 PM. On Friday, a hot air balloon glow takes place at dusk. A fireworks spectacular immediately follows the Saturday night concert and serves as the Fun Fest finale. It’s a don’t miss event!
The Fun Fest Sunset Concert Series would not be possible without the support of our community sponsors. They help keep costs low while ensuring a high quality production.

At the end of the day, Fun Fest and the Sunset Concert Series are more than just events, they’re about making memories. Whether you’re attending with family or friends, singing along with your favorite artist, discovering new music or just enjoying the environment, these are the kinds of experiences that stick with you long after the final song.
So, if you’re thinking about attending the Fun Fest Sunset Concert Series, take this as your sign to choose a night (or all three) and enjoy summer nights in Kingsport.
